Other forms of archery

The form of archery we practice on the field is called Target Archery, there are other forms of archery, which over a period you will have a chance to try.

Field Archery : Archery on rough, often wooded ground at targets at various distances which occasionally you are not told. Targets vary from roundels to animal faces, even 3D models of animals are sometimes used.

NOTE : Bowhunting is illegal in this country and neither Carman Stables or any GNAS club will condone it.

Clout Archery : A six foot target drawn on the ground at 180 yards - a long way away.

Flight Archery : How far can a bow be shot.

Popinjay/Papingo : Shooting a bird straight up in the air.

Darts : Just like normal darts but with a bow an arrow.

Biathlon : Skiing and Archery.

Golf : ##same scoring as golf. But shooting a 4 inch disk beside the green.

There are other archery "Games" which can also be played.
